In line with the principles of sustainable development and responsible consumption and production, Professor Dr. Abdullah Dhaya, a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, participated in the Fifth International Conference on Patents and Entrepreneurship, organized by Wasit University on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, with the participation of a distinguished group of researchers and academics from various Iraqi universities.
During the conference, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Dhaya presented a distinguished scientific paper entitled “A New Main Matrix to Find the Principal Stresses, Strains and the Maximum Shear Stress and Strain Using MATLAB Simulation.” The paper introduced an innovative main matrix for efficiently calculating principal stresses and strains as well as maximum shear stress, using MATLAB simulation. The research received significant attention and appreciation from the scientific committee for its innovative approach and valuable scientific contribution, as it helps simplify computational procedures, accelerate engineering analysis processes, and provide an accurate tool applicable in both research and educational fields.
At the conclusion of the conference, the organizing committee honored Prof. Dr. Abdullah Dhaya by awarding him the Medal of Excellence and Creativity, in addition to a certificate of appreciation, in recognition of his scientific contributions and outstanding research efforts.
