Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Ziyad Tareq, the Human Rights Unit at the college, in cooperation with the Department of Surveying Engineering, organized a charity bazaar on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, under the slogan: “Engineering for Humanity: Promoting Humanitarian Solidarity.”

The bazaar was inaugurated by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, accompanied by the Head of the Department of Surveying Engineering, Prof. Dr. Alaa Dawood Salman, and the Director of the Human Rights Unit, Dr. Israa Abdul Ali Kazim.

This bazaar was part of a student initiative aimed at fostering a culture of cooperation and a spirit of giving among the students of the College of Engineering, while highlighting the college’s role in supporting the community through humanitarian activities that promote social solidarity both within and outside the university.

The bazaar featured a display of student products and works, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting underprivileged families, reflecting students’ strong sense of social responsibility.

This activity aligns with the college’s efforts to spread human rights awareness and encourage humanitarian work, in line with its vision of reinforcing solidarity, mutual support, and humanitarian values.
