Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Samira Mohammed, Head of the Petroleum Engineering Department, the handover ceremony of the University of Baghdad Chapter – Society of Petroleum Engineers (UOB-SPE) was held on Monday, October 6, 2025, in the department’s discussion hall.
The event marked the official transfer of responsibilities from the outgoing chapter members to the newly elected officers, in the presence of distinguished faculty members and chapter students.
On this occasion, the members of the UOB-SPE Chapter expressed their sincere appreciation to the former president and outgoing members for their exceptional efforts and valuable contributions throughout the past two years, which greatly enhanced the chapter’s performance and activities.
The University of Baghdad Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nagham Jasim, warmly welcomed the new officers of the current term, wishing them continued success and excellence in their endeavors.
The newly elected officers are:
- Muntadhar Ali Hassan – Fourth Year
- Ali Abd Flaih – Fourth Year
- Lara Ibrahim Ouda – Fourth Year
- Adel Imad Ali – Third Year
- Abdullah Mohammed Abd – Third Year
- Manar Ameer Kazem – Third Year
- Ali Mohammed Jasim – Second Year
In conclusion, the Department and the Chapter extended their best wishes to the new officers for continued progress and achievement, expressing confidence in their ability to uphold the chapter’s distinguished reputation and contribute to the advancement of the petroleum engineering community.
