Faculty Members from the Department of Architecture – University of Baghdad Participate in Evaluating Graduation Projects at Al-Farabi University
As part of the academic cooperation between architecture departments in Iraqi universities, faculty members from the Department of Architecture – College of Engineering / University of Baghdad participated in evaluating a number of fifth-year graduation projects in the Department of Architecture – Al-Farabi University. The evaluations took place on Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25, 2025.
The discussions on Saturday, May 24, 2025, included the participation of:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osama Abdul Muneem Al-Tamimi
- Dr. Enas Hassan Al-Bakri
They reviewed a project titled:
“Urban and Heritage Development to Revive the Area Between Al-Shaheed Bridge and Al-Samawal Street – Historical Rusafa Side”
Presented by the students Adnan Kamal and Ahmed Jawad, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bahjat Rashad Shaheen.
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the following faculty members participated:
- Dr. Ammar Saleh Ashour
- Dr. Hala Shamsi Al-Diwani
They evaluated two architectural projects that presented distinguished design visions:
- “Music Institute for Baghdadi Studies” by the student Shaimaa Thamer
- “Tourist Resort” by the student Saba
Under the supervision of a group of esteemed professors from the Department of Architecture – Al-Farabi University.
The participating projects demonstrated a high level of design and academic quality, reflecting the considerable efforts of the students and their supervisors. This collaboration contributes to the enhancement of experience exchange and academic integration between architecture departments in Iraqi universities.
