Representatives from the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, including the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Saad Fawzi Tu’ma, along with faculty members Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulhussein Al-Askari, Lecturer Dr. Ammar Saleh Ashour, and Department Rapporteur Assistant Lecturer Ali Basim Abdulkarim, participated in the graduation project discussions for fifth-year students at the Department of Architecture, University of Basrah, on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
This visit came as part of the ongoing academic and scientific collaboration and openness between architecture departments in Iraqi universities. The professors were distributed among three committees, where they reviewed and discussed the projects of 24 students.
The visiting professors praised the students’ performance, the dedication of the teaching staff, and the academic quality of the presented projects. They also expressed their enjoyment of the visit to the city of Basrah and the esteemed University of Basrah.
In turn, the Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Basrah, Lecturer Dr. Al-Waleed Khalid Abdul Latif, along with faculty members, expressed their appreciation and great pleasure at the visit and the active participation. The visiting delegation extended their thanks to their hosts for the warm welcome and hospitality, wishing them and their students continued success in their academic and scientific endeavors.
