In a significant step toward enhancing academic evaluation standards at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Dorota Fonięczka from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences has been selected as an external examiner for the graduate program in the Department of Architectural Engineering.
This decision was made during a session chaired by Professor Dr. Dhiaa Jasim Kazem, Associate Dean for Scientific and Graduate Studies Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Lama Al-Obaidi, Quality Assurance Officer at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Saad Fawzi, Head of the Department of Architectural Engineering, and Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Qasim, Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the college, along with Professor Dr. Ghada Mousa and Professor Dr. Huda Abdul Sahib.
The decision reflects the college’s commitment to achieving academic excellence by leveraging international expertise to evaluate learning outcomes and ensure that graduate programs align with globally recognized standards. The initiative aims to ensure accurate assessment of graduation projects and the fulfillment of academic program objectives according to the highest international benchmarks—further enhancing the college’s reputation and contributing to the improvement of educational quality in the Department of Architectural Engineering.
