The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, participated in the Cooking Festival organized by the College of Arts on Thursday, February 13, 2025. The event was attended by Dr. Elham Ali Baeyawi, the head of the unit and a faculty member in the Department of Architectural Engineering, along with the unit’s liaison members from the college departments.
The festival was graced by Dr. Nada Al-Abadi, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Dean of the College of Arts. The main goal of the festival was to promote cooking culture, enhance women’s skills in the field, and support small projects as part of the economic empowerment of women.
The event’s program included presentations on healthy dietary systems, along with demonstrations of key skills and interests related to the culinary arts.
