The Aeronautical Engineering Department, under the sponsorship of the College of Engineering’s Dean and the Department Head, Asst. Dr. Anmar Hameed, organized a scientific workshop on January 12, 2025. The workshop, titled “Digital Transmissions,” was presented by Asst. Lect. Amna Abbas Kareem in the smart hall of the department, in the presence of several faculty members and students. The primary objective of the workshop was to understand the processes of digital and analog data transmission, clarify how data is sent and received through communication channels, and review the various types of communication channels while explaining their differences. The workshop concluded with a set of key findings, including enhancing participants’ understanding of digital data transmission processes, improving skills in sending and receiving data through communication channels, and emphasizing the importance of the effectiveness and quality of digital communications in the modern technological era. This workshop provided a fruitful opportunity for knowledge exchange and enhancing understanding of digital data transmission processes and analog signals across communication channels in the field of aeronautical engineering.
