Under the esteemed patronage of the honorable Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul Majeed, the College of Engineering organized a solidarity protest in support of Gaza on Thursday, May 2, 2024, near the Dean’s office. The protest saw wide participation from students and faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department, alongside the distinguished presence of the Dean and the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, as well as the Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Kareem Hassan Ali.
The protest aimed to express solidarity with Gaza, with students raising the Palestinian flag and displaying banners condemning the genocidal war perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the children and women of Gaza.
