A panel discussion titled “Description of Air Conditioning System” was organized in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering on February 25, 2024. The session was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Basim AbdulRazzaq Rashid. The panel discussion focused on describing and understanding the functioning of the air conditioning system in the context of aeronautical engineering. The fundamental concepts of the air conditioning system and its various components, such as condensers, evaporators, compressors, and control systems, were discussed. The discussion also covered the techniques employed in designing and operating the air conditioning system, including airflow, air purification, temperature control, and humidity regulation. This panel discussion provided participants with an opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of the function and design of the air conditioning system in the field of aeronautical engineering. Emphasis was placed on the importance of having an efficient and reliable air conditioning system in aircraft and aerospace vehicles, and its impact on passenger comfort and aircraft performance.
