The Ministry of Higher Education announced the results of the Iraqi classification of scientific departments in universities for the year 2023, as part of its policy to enhance response to quality requirements, develop the educational environment, and measure institutional performance indicators.
The results of this edition, conducted by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Agency, include the evaluation of 1875 scientific departments in 95 government and private universities and colleges according to program accreditation standards 40%, faculty members 25%, students 20%, and international rankings of academic specialties 15%.
The Department of Survey Engineering at the University of Baghdad ranked first among the survey engineering departments in Iraqi government and private universities, achieving a score of 72.917.
The head of the Department of Survey Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Diab Ahmed, congratulates all our professors and members of our department for their diligent and distinguished work in achieving first place in the national ranking of scientific departments for the academic year 2022/2023 and extends special thanks to the National Classification Committee. Finally, the department head expressed his appreciation to everyone and emphasized the enhancement of education quality in line with the department’s vision of serving the educational process.
