As part of the scientific activities in the Computer Engineering Department, the department held a scientific symposium on the Zoom program on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at seven in the evening, which was delivered by Dr. (Lecturer. Dr. Labib Mohsen Abdullah), which was entitled:
“AI Tools for Research Workflow in Academia”
The aim of the symposium was to review the recent developments in artificial intelligence tools involved in the field of scientific research and how to lead academic institutions to deal with this modern technology. The symposium presented practical examples of how to use these tools to support the researcher’s academic and scientific journey, as well as developing the skills of Iraqi researchers to suit modern developments in various fields. At the end of the symposium, the discussion and a number of recommendations were put forward the most important of which were how to use artificial intelligence technology for the benefit of science and society, and the importance of holding workshops and seminars for teaching researchers and graduate students to introduce the most important tools of artificial intelligence and its applications in the field of developing scientific research in a correct scientific manner and within an ethical framework.
