As part of the community activities and within the framework of community service that the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, under its management and its members, is keen on, a number of the department’s faculty members visited Al Ain Social Welfare Foundation on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
The faculty members met with the organization’s management, who received them with all warm welcome. They toured the corridors of the organization, where they were briefed on the organization’s departments and projects to support orphans. The members of the Foundation explained its important role as an independent humanitarian institution of public benefit concerned with the affairs of the orphans of the heroic martyrs, the orphans of the martyrs who were victims of terrorist operations in Iraq, and the orphans of the deceased who need care, as well as providing support to needy families.
At the conclusion of the visit, the institution’s management thanked the faculty members for this kind initiative that reflects a feeling of true humanity and the continuous efforts by members of society to support this important segment according to the capabilities available to reduce the burden on them. The faculty members, in turn, praised the institution and the activities it carries out for the benefit of society in general and orphans in particular.
