Dr. Dhirgham Alobaydi, the head of the Architecture Department at the University of Baghdad , participated in a virtual seminar organized by the University of Leeds on the topic of cultural heritage. The seminar featured speakers from various countries sharing their experiences in cultural heritage preservation. Mr. Alobaydi , as one of the main speakers, delivered a lecture titled ” #PreservingIntangibleCulturalHeritage Lessons from Old Baghdad .” In his presentation, he provided a historical overview of this cultural heritage, evaluated its current status, and proposed solutions to protect it and preserve its existence for future generations while maintaining its local identity.
The seminar was held virtually and managed by the University of Leeds on Friday, October 6, 2023, consisting of two sessions.
