In continuation of their relentless pursuit of distinguished scientific research, which contributes to establishing the name of the University of Baghdad in the international community, a group of professors of the Chemical Engineering Department were able to publish their research in international journals belonging to the first quarter (Q1) and classified within Scopus and Clarivate. The first paper titled “Green synthesis of porous carbon cross-linked Y zeolite nanocrystals material and its performance for adsorptive removal of a methyl violet dye from water”, which is a research collaboration between the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad and Jubail Industrial College in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and was published by Asist.Prof. Dr. Sama Mohammed Abdullah, Asist.Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Karim Rashid and Lecturer Sarmad Abdul Razzaq with the participation of Dr. Sirhan Al-Batty from Jubail Industrial College in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The paper was published in Microporous and Mesoporous Materials journal, issued by Elsevier and indexed within the Scopus and Clarivate, with an impact factor of 5.876 and belonging to the first quarter journals.
The second paper was published by Prof. Dr. Ammar Salih Abbas and PhD student Bodour Mohsen Karji and tagged “MCM-48 from rice husk ash as a novel heterogeneous catalyst for esterification of glycerol with oleic acid: Catalyst preparation, characterization, and activity”. The paper was published in the scientific journal Case Studies in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, which issued by Elsevier, classified in the first quarter and indexed within the Scopus.
