The Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering and the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Engineering – University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “We Live with Dignity” on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The session was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Farah Wathiq Salem.

The workshop aimed to promote human and ethical values among students and to reinforce the concept of dignity as a fundamental right for every individual in society. It also sought to raise awareness about the importance of self-respect and respect for others, while discouraging negative behaviors, particularly bullying and verbal or emotional abuse, in order to foster a university environment based on mutual respect and positive coexistence.

The workshop included a range of interactive activities and open discussions that emphasized the importance of encouraging positive behaviors within the academic environment and increasing awareness of human rights. These efforts contribute to building a conscious and responsible generation capable of addressing social and behavioral challenges.

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including the continuation of awareness programs, strengthening the role of Human Rights Units in promoting a culture of respect, and integrating human rights concepts into university activities to support a safe and balanced educational environment.
