Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, and under the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Iyad Abdul-Hamza Faisal, the Environmental Engineering Department at the College of Engineering – University of Baghdad organized an educational visit for fourth-year students to the Baghdad Renewable Energy Center on Monday, 17 November 2025.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the nature of the center’s work and to provide insight into the latest technologies in the field of renewable energy. The program included a guided tour, during which specialists offered detailed explanations of solar energy systems and their operational mechanisms. The students were also briefed on the important role the center plays in developing technical specifications and enhancing the efficiency of components used in renewable energy projects nationwide.
This visit is part of the department’s program to strengthen practical skills among students and to connect academic knowledge with real-world applications in the field of clean energy.
