The Scientific Journal Quality Committee at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, held its regular meeting, which included a workshop on digital transformation and the mechanisms for submitting scientific research quality assurance requests electronically instead of through traditional paper-based procedures. The meeting took place on Sunday, 9 November 2025.
The workshop was chaired by Eng. Az Al-Deen Ahmed Radi, Director of the Information Technology Division at the college, and attended by committee members representing the various departments of the College of Engineering. During the meeting, the steps for electronic submission by academic researchers wishing to publish their work in the College of Engineering Journal and other academic journals were reviewed, in accordance with the journal quality assurance system developed by a specialized team from the IT Division.
The workshop also included a comprehensive explanation of the electronic system for evaluating and publishing high-quality research, along with an overview of the regulations and requirements that researchers must follow to meet scientific publishing standards.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of adhering to the approved scientific and academic standards in electronic journals, and the need to work collaboratively to overcome technical and administrative challenges.
