On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, professors and fourth-year students embarked on a Field visit to Baghdad Island, a tourist destination situated in the middle of the Tigris River, 20 km north of Baghdad. The island was developed as a tourist project by a Finnish company called (YII). The purpose of this visit was to introduce students to architectural treatments of urban spaces, green space design, and water feature management, emphasizing the importance of visual and kinetic axes as part of the requirements for the Exterior Space Design – Landscape course.
