The College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad witnessed the public discussion of the master’s student (Baraa Qays Naeem Hussain) from the Civil Engineering Department on his thesis entitled (Effect of cooling methods on Properties of SCC contain EPA and Exposed to Fire Flame) on Sunday, 17/11/2024, in Dr. Khaled Shaker Hall. Under the supervision of (Asst. Prof. Hadeel K. Awad)
The research aims to study the properties of Self-compacting Concrete which contain Expanded Perlite Aggregate and exposed to fire flame and subjected to cooling methods.
The results showed the strength reduction percentage of SCC contain EPA is decreased with increase EPA percentage.
Accordingly, the research came out with a set of recommendations, including production PSCC reinforced with Fiber and studying the impact of aflame on this concrete. Production SCC with other EPA percentage and subjected to fire flame more than 700 Co.
After scientific discussion by the respected members of the discussion committees and listening to the researcher’s defense, the researcher obtained a master’s degree in civil engineering /construction materials with a grade of (Excellent).
