Within the framework of serving the educational trip for our students, which the Computer Engineering Department is keen on, the Computer Engineering Department organized a scientific visit for fourth-year students to the Iraqi Media Network and the Iraqi Media Museum on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, for the purpose of developing their scientific and practical skills. The visit was arranged through the efforts of the Department Head, Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Ali Saber, and Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Muhammad Abdel Hadi. The students toured with a number of the department professors supervising them in the corridors of the network. Members of Iraqi Media Network and the Director and staff of the Network’s Information Technology Department welcomed the department’s professors and students. At the end of the visit, the department’s professors and students expressed their thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Iraqi Media Network, especially the director and staff of the Information Technology Department, for their tireless efforts and great cooperation to make the visit achieving the desired goal. Then the department’s professors and students went to visit the Iraqi Media Museum to see what the museum contains in its corridors of equipment that was used in journalistic, radio and television work, as well as documents and photos that archive the beginning of the establishment of radio and television in Iraq, where old equipment and devices were displayed and compared to modern ones. The visitors were received by the museum staff, who accompanied them to introduce the museum’s contents. In the end, the department professors and students thanked the museum staff for the warm reception and the efforts they made with them. At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the visit for the information they received which contributed to raising their level and scientific culture.
