Prof. Iyad Abdel Halim Abdel Razzaq, a faculty member at the Department of Petroleum Engineering, presented a lecture entitled “The Method of Writing and Submitting a Patent” on the Discussion Hall on Sunday, March 27, 2022. The lecture dealt with the definition of the invention and what conditions must be met in order for the invention to be eligible for a patent. The lecture focused also on how to arrange a patent application and submit it to the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control / Directorate of Patents and Industrial Designs in order to register a patent. It is noteworthy to mention that Prof. Iyad Abdel Halim Abdel Razzaq was granted two patents by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control in 2016 and 2018. The lecture was attended by a number of guests, and faculty members and students of Department of Petroleum Engineering.
