Suicide is a global problem affecting all countries. It is a tragic phenomenon, as it results in a high number of victims annually, and in some countries, more than other deaths due to murder or traffic accidents. The World Health Organization reported on World Suicide Prevention Day that more than one million people commit suicide annually. This number is increasing due to the many social and economic problems facing societies. It is considered one of the most tragic solutions to the problems that individuals resort to in their lives, and it has dire consequences. The workshop also addressed the types of suicide, its causes, and how to prevent it.

Based on the above, the workshop concluded with a set of recommendation:

1- Establish specialized institutions for psychological treatment and develop  treatment  programs for personality disorders and mental illnesses . .

Conduct awareness campaigns about the dangers of suicide. – 2

3- Provide job opportunities through public government projects capable of absorbing large numbers of the unemployed..
