The Mechanical Engineering Department organized a scientific visit to the Central Refineries Company under the sponsorship of Assistant Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Ali, Head of the Department. On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, second-year students visited the Midland Oil Company / Dora Refinery, accompanied by several faculty members. This visit aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge by exploring the mechanisms of pumps and mechanical turbines, understanding their manufacturing processes, and learning how they are assembled and operated. This initiative is part of the department’s efforts to strengthen the practical aspects of the academic curriculum, bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience and equipping students with a deeper understanding of engineering technologies.
