As part of the scientific events organized by the Aeronautical Engineering Department at the University of Baghdad, a workshop titled “Employment Opportunities for Aeronautical Engineers” was held under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Engineering and supervised by the Department Head, Dr. Anmar Hameed. The workshop, presented by Asst. Lect. Ahmed Tawfiq Mustafa alongside a group of department graduates, took place on Monday, February 3, 2025, in the smart hall, with several professors and first-year students in attendance.
The workshop focused on the growing integration of aeronautical engineers in the aviation sector, especially since the graduation of the department’s first batch. Over the years, the number of graduates working in the aviation industry has steadily increased, with expectations for further opportunities arising, particularly in the private sector, as graduates continue to demonstrate their competence and success in the field.
Additionally, the workshop featured success stories shared by some of the first batch’s graduates. They offered valuable insights into both their academic journeys and professional experiences, providing first-year students with practical advice and guidance to help them succeed in their future careers.
The event concluded with a ceremony honoring the participating engineers. Dr. Anmar Hameed, the Department Head, presented certificates of appreciation to the engineers for their contributions and efforts in making the workshop a success.
