Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdulmajid, the Career Development and Employment Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course titled “Mastering PowerPoint: Essential Skills for Engineering Students” on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in the computer lab of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The course was presented by Eng. Rasha Kareem Mahmoud, Head of the Career Development and Employment Unit, and was aimed at students from the Mechanical Engineering Department to enhance their technical skills in creating professional presentations.

The course covered several key topics, including: familiarization with the program interface, inserting multimedia, designing advanced charts, applying animations and transitions, and improving presentation skills and teamwork in groups.

The course concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of prior planning for presentations, using simple designs that complement the engineering content, and focusing on detail accuracy. Participants were also encouraged to continue practicing the skills they acquired, utilize ready-made templates, and keep up with regular program updates.

The course received positive feedback from the students, who praised the quality and relevance of the training in improving both their academic and professional performance. This course is part of a series of events organized by the college to enhance students’ technical skills and prepare them for the modern job market.
