Professor Dr. Faleh Hassan Mohammed Al-Mahdawi and Assistant Professor Dr. Ruwayda Qaisar Abdul-Majeed, faculty members of the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, participated in the Fourth China International UGS Science & Technology Innovation & Industry Development Academic Forum, held in Shanghai, China, from November 13 to 15, 2024.
The researchers presented two scientific papers focusing on natural gas transportation and storage, alongside distinguished scientists and researchers from various countries, including Canada, Germany, France, Russia, Malaysia, Cameroon, Guinea, Iran, Sudan, Iraq, and the host country, China, among others.
The conference, organized by the China Petroleum Society, focused on discussing the latest technologies in underground gas storage and transportation, offering participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, share expertise, and explore avenues for collaboration between universities and industry leaders in the oil and gas sector.
This participation highlights the academic excellence of the University of Baghdad and reinforces its presence on the global scientific stage, with a strong emphasis on addressing critical technical challenges in the oil and gas industry.
