A wonderful welcoming ceremony was organized for the new students in the Aeronautical Engineering Department at the University of Baghdad, sponsored by the Department of Aeronautical Engineering in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit in the College of Engineering. The welcoming event kicked off with the performance of the Iraqi national anthem, a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran in memory of Iraq’s martyrs, followed by a warm and encouraging welcome speech by the Assistant Professor Dr. Anmar Hameed Ali, the head of the department. He welcomed the new students and strongly encouraged them to exert effort and perseverance to achieve excellence and success in their academic journey. The ceremony included a comprehensive presentation about the department’s program, the distinctive academic courses offered, and showcases of completed graduation projects from previous years, emphasizing the importance and virtues of knowledge and education. The event also featured engaging competitions and enjoyable activities that contributed to fostering teamwork and interaction among the students. The atmosphere was filled with optimism and joy, with the event attended by faculty members and engineers from the department, adding a special shine and a positive impact on the new students and the department as a whole.
