The Department of Surveying Engineering organized a welcoming ceremony for first-year students to greet and introduce them to the department. The event took place on Sunday, December 1, 2024, with the presence of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Meythem Mutasher Sharqi, along with several faculty members and the student reception committee.
The meeting included a welcoming speech delivered by the Head of the Department. Additionally, Assist Prof. Zahraa Az-Zideen, the undergraduate program coordinator, spoke about the Bologna Process, followed by Prof. Youssef Hussein. The purpose of this meeting was to improve the quality of education at the University of Baghdad and to highlight its benefits for student’s academic and professional futures, as well as their fieldwork. It also covered the use of surveying instruments and how to operate them.
