The Department of Petroleum Engineering held a workshop titled “Family Cohesion and its Impact on Society and Individuals” on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of family cohesion and its positive effects on individuals and society, while addressing modern challenges faced by families today.

The workshop was presented by Asst. Inst. Estabreq Shawqi and Ms. Kifah Hadad, editor-in-chief of ALSAADA’ Journal. It covered a range of topics, including:

  • The family’s pivotal role in shaping individual personality and ensuring psychological and social stability.
  • The influence of family cohesion on promoting positive values within society.
  • Modern challenges such as life stress and technological advancements, and their impact on family dynamics.

The session concluded with a strong call to action for consolidating efforts to support families and strengthen their bonds, emphasizing that the family is the cornerstone of societal and individual development.
