On Saturday, November 2, the University of Baghdad held its central graduation ceremony for the 67th cohort of the academic year 2023-2024 at the College of Physical Education fields, under the motto “Knowledge and Construction.” The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, along with other distinguished guests and the families of the graduates.
The event commenced with a procession led by college deans, members of the university council, faculty, and students, creating an atmosphere of organization and celebration.
In his address, University President Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf emphasized the university’s commitment to advancing higher education to meet the needs of society and the job market. He also announced plans for new programs, including the establishment of a College of Applied Artificial Intelligence and specialized Centers of Excellence.
Minister of Higher Education Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi revealed plans for a new college with departments such as Artificial Intelligence to align with the rapidly evolving job market.
Concluding the ceremony, Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, expressed pride in the college’s graduates, highlighting their future role in serving and developing Iraq. He wished them success in their academic and professional lives.
