In the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, the Environmental Engineering Department held a seminar about the report of participation in a visit presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Mohammed Abdul Hamid about his participation in the visit to the East Mediterranean University in Cyprus, where the objectives of the visit were clarified and explained, as well as the opportunities for joint cooperation between the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad and the Cyprus University. During the visit, it was agreed upon specialized training programs for lecturers and students in Cyprus, as well as the possibilities of joint supervision of postgraduate students and cultural exchange in refereed publications and periodicals between the two sides. The draft of the joint memorandum of understanding between the two sides was reviewed so that it can be activated later upon obtaining the necessary approvals for that. The seminar was attended by the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department and a group of faculty members.
