Under the auspices of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul Majid, the Civil Engineering Department organized a seminar titled “Modern Trends in Concrete Technology” on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Dr. Mahdi Hantush Hall. The seminar was attended by academic and administrative staff, as well as Prof. Amjad Al-Bayati, the head of the Civil Engineering Department, along with a distinguished group of professors and students.

During the seminar, students presented research conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Ikram Faroun Ahmad, focusing on analyzing the latest trends in green concrete technology. Discussions revolved around the use of innovative materials and techniques in concrete technology to preserve the environment and reduce pollution resulting from traditional construction practices.

1. Encouraging the adoption of green concrete technology to safeguard the environment and minimize pollution.
2. Utilizing new materials and techniques in concrete technology to enhance sustainability and efficiency.
