The Department of Computer Engineering participates in the National Afforestation Day

Under the patronage of the University of Baghdad/College of Engineering, and within the activity of improving the environment and preserving the planting of trees and plants, the Department of Computer Engineering, with a number of its staff and students, participated in the afforestation campaign by planting a number of trees, on National Planting Day, which falls on the twelfth of March 2024. This activity comes in solidarity with the launch of the Prime Minister’s initiative to plant five million trees and plants to combat desertification in Iraq. The activity is aimed at providing a greener landscape for the university, minimizing the levels of air pollution as well as enhancing environmental conservation knowledge.
