Within the sports activities organized by the Sports Activity Department of the College of Engineering and under the patronage of the Honorable Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdel Majeed, the final match of the Engineering Departments League Football Championship took place on Sunday, 10/3/2024, between the teams of the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Energy Engineering Department at the College of Engineering Stadium, in the presence of the respected Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdel Majeed and the Honorable Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kareem Hassan and a group of professors, affiliates and students of the department to support and encourage the Mechanical Engineering Department team. The match ended with a 4-1 victory for the Mechanical Engineering Department team. The first half ended with the mechanical engineering team leading by two goals to nothing. In the second half, the Mechanical Lions were able to score two more goals, while the energy engineering team was able to score their only goal. With this result, the mechanical engineering team was able to win the result and obtain the championship cup. Congratulations on the win to the Mechanical Engineering Department team and good luck to the Energy Engineering Department team.
