Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Department of Media and Public Relations, and in conjunction with the International Anti-Corruption Day and the Annual Integrity Week, held a lecture entitled (Ethical Considerations in Scientific Research) delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Ibrahim Hassan in the auditorium. Prof. Dr. Ihram Yahya Hussein in the Department of Mechanical Engineering on Wednesday, January 13, 2023, in the presence of the respected Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof.Dr. Fathi Abdel-Saheb Al-Shammaa, and a number of lecturers, and postgraduate students. The lecture includes four axes: the first axis, the components of the proposed research, the second axis, the basic principles in scientific research, the third axis, how to make an ethical decision in an issue that has research problems, and the fourth axis is to take a specific research case as an example and discuss the decision taken, whether it is ethical for research or not. And after explaining the four axes. The conclusion from this lecture was that every researcher must take into account the ethics and principles of scientific research in every research or study he presents, in order to advance science and push the wheel of knowledge forward.
