A delegation from the University of Baghdad, headed by Professor Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, President of the University of Baghdad, visited the French University of Cergy, during the visit of the University of Baghdad delegation to France, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdel Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, Dean of the College of Science, and Professor Dr. Enas Khalifa Al-Sharqi. Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the university.

The President of the University of Baghdad emphasize the importance of focusing on common topics, in the fields of water resources, renewable energy, combating desertification, sustainable development, and artificial intelligence. An agreement was also made for the participation of teaching staff from the French University of Cergy under the joint supervision of students in University of Baghdad. The French side also invited the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Baghdad to join the Global Network for International Affairs to strengthen relations between the two universities.

At the end of the visit, representatives of Sergei University expressed their admiration for the achievements of the University of Baghdad and its strategic plan. They also declared their readiness to establish an effective international research partnership that reflects their commitment to enhancing joint cooperation, as this visit represents a vital starting point for expanding the scope of joint international research cooperation between the two universities, and this partnership stimulates New innovation and promotes cultural and scientific exchange.
