On Tuesday, November 21, 2023, second-year students, under the supervision of professors of Building Construction, conducted a scientific visit to several residential construction sites in the Kadhimiya area. The site comprised three adjacent residential buildings: the first in the foundation phase, the second with a complete structure of three floors, and the third building with three floors and a basement in the finishing phase. The visit included a detailed examination of construction methods, architectural and structural details, as well as interior and exterior finishes. Additionally, the inspection covered sanitary and electrical service lines, and the air conditioning system. This visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the scientific material (building with brick) by connecting it to real-world situations, providing a comprehensive overview of the brick construction process from foundation planning to finishing stages and all associated operations
