The faculty member Associate Professor Dr. Alaa Dawood Salman from the Department of Surveying Engineering at the University of Baghdad participated as a committee member in the defense of a master’s thesis titled “Nonlinear Analysis of Piled Rafts in The Soil.” The thesis was presented by the researcher Rasool Kadhim Mohammed on October 23, 2023, in the Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Thi Qar.
In this thesis, the researcher made a scholarly effort to address the challenges faced by urban environments due to functional overlaps. These challenges lead to congestion and exert pressure on the infrastructure for users. The thesis emphasizes the importance of confronting these challenges through the development of urban design concepts and the introduction of new ideas that contribute to creating vibrant and safe residential environments for inhabitants.
