The Department of Petroleum Engineering – College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, held a workshop entitled (Writing sound scientific research, choosing journals, and publishing methods), which was conducted by Professor Dr. Saleh Muhammad Awad, the respected teaching assistant at the College of Science – Department of Earth Sciences, and editor-in-chief of the Iraqi Geological Journal, on Tuesday, 2013. 11/14/2023 in the hall of the late Professor Mahdi Hantoush, in the presence of researchers, teachers, and graduate students. The workshop included learning about the components of scientific research, methods for choosing the appropriate journal for each specialized scientific research, and how to send the research to solid scientific journals in order to enhance academic reputation. For researchers in Iraqi universities.
The workshop touched on the researcher’s most important tools in the process of writing his research, the method of preparing and writing scientific research, ways to publish it in reputable international journals, and the types of scientific publications that could be of benefit to the university or college in international classifications.
