Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Iyad Abdul Hamza Faisal<\/strong>, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit<\/strong>, the Environmental Engineering Department held a scientific workshop entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cRemote Monitoring and Control of Water Treatment Plant Operation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop took place at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025<\/strong>, in the discussion hall of the Environmental Engineering Department<\/strong>, and was attended by the Head of the Department, faculty members, and students. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Hadeel Mohammed Hussein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to introduce modern technologies for the remote monitoring and control of water treatment plant operations, highlighting the role of smart systems in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring water quality, in line with the rapid technological developments in the field of environmental engineering.<\/p>\n

The workshop concluded with several key recommendations, the most notable of which were:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    Reverse osmosis technology<\/strong> provides effective water treatment and desalination through the use of specialized membranes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Water treated using reverse osmosis can be utilized in various sectors, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and commercial industries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Remote water treatment systems<\/strong> save time, effort, and cost by enabling continuous 24-hour plant operation through remote sensors, reducing reliance on on-site human operators.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
