The workshop was entitled <strong>\u201cEngineering for Justice: Electronic Extremism and Its Risks to Youth from an Engineering Perspective.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lectures were delivered by Legal Officer Major Yusra Muzhir Aidan, Colonel Ziyad Habib Ubaid, and Lt. Colonel Dr. Jalal Shaher Atiyah. The workshop was moderated by Dr. Israa Abdul Ali Kazim, Director of the Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop addressed the mechanisms through which the digital space is exploited to spread extremist ideas among young people, emphasizing the importance of employing engineering technologies\u2014particularly cybersecurity and data analysis\u2014in monitoring deviant content, detecting methods of online recruitment, and developing technical tools to limit its risks.
