{"id":9545,"date":"2025-12-02T09:11:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T06:11:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9545"},"modified":"2025-12-02T09:11:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T06:11:12","slug":"university-of-baghdads-college-of-engineering-organizes-a-scientific-workshop-on-the-biosynthesis-of-nanoparticles-and-their-environmental-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9545","title":{"rendered":"University of Baghdad\u2019s College of Engineering Organizes a Scientific Workshop on the Biosynthesis of Nanoparticles and Their Environmental Applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"197\" data-end=\"641\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, <strong data-start=\"260\" data-end=\"300\">Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department, <strong data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"421\">Prof. Dr. Iyad Abdulhamza Faisal<\/strong>, the Environmental Engineering Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific workshop titled <em data-start=\"555\" data-end=\"639\">\u201cBiosynthesis of Nanoparticles and Their Applications in the Environmental Field.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"920\">The workshop was held in the Environmental Engineering Department\u2019s discussion hall on <strong data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"761\">Wednesday, 26 November 2025<\/strong>, with the attendance of the department head, several faculty members, and students. The workshop was delivered by <strong data-start=\"876\" data-end=\"919\">Asst. Lect. Dr. Hadeel Mohammed Hussein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"1200\">The workshop aimed to present eco-friendly biosynthesis methods for nanoparticles, focusing on their role in treating pollutants and improving the quality of water, air, and soil. It also reviewed the latest scientific applications of these particles in the environmental field.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1680\">The workshop concluded with several practical recommendations, including experimenting with alternatives to bacterial extracts in the preparation of zinc oxide nanoparticles, exploring other nanoparticles such as <strong data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1423\">TiO\u2082<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1435\">NiO<\/strong>, and studying their interactions with antibiotics to enhance the effectiveness of biofilm inhibitors.
