{"id":9219,"date":"2025-11-05T13:04:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T10:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9219"},"modified":"2025-11-05T13:04:00","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T10:04:00","slug":"innovative-research-by-petroleum-engineering-student-at-ipiw-2025-highlights-sustainable-drilling-technologies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9219","title":{"rendered":"Innovative Research by Petroleum Engineering Student at IPIW 2025 Highlights Sustainable Drilling Technologies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In a new scientific achievement for the College of Engineering \u2013 University of Baghdad, senior student <em>Baria Moath Mohsen<\/em> from the Department of Petroleum Engineering presented a distinguished research project titled <em>\u201cInnovations in Monobore Well Design: A Step Toward Precision and Sustainable Drilling.\u201d<\/em> The study was showcased during the <strong>Iraq Petroleum Industry Workshop (IPIW 2025)<\/strong>, held at the Babylon Rotana Hotel \u2013 Baghdad on October 27\u201328, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The student\u2019s participation was supervised by <strong>Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Jawad<\/strong> and <strong>Dr. Farkad Ali Hadi<\/strong>. His research was presented in the form of a <strong>digital poster<\/strong>, focusing on the <strong>RODOG technology<\/strong>, which utilizes an <strong>expandable drill bit<\/strong> to implement the <em>Monobore<\/em> system in deep wells.
