{"id":9195,"date":"2025-11-05T10:10:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T07:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9195"},"modified":"2025-11-05T10:10:47","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T07:10:47","slug":"workshop-on-the-role-of-women-in-promoting-positive-culture-in-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9195","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on the Role of Women in Promoting Positive Culture in Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Under the patronage of the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies, and in collaboration with the Women\u2019s Affairs Units of both the College of Engineering and the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, a workshop entitled <em>\u201cThe Role of Women in Promoting Positive Culture in Society\u201d<\/em> was held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Kazem Abdul-Wahed A\u2019adam, Dean of the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Salwa Jabir Al-Awadi, Dean of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, along with a number of faculty members and advocates of women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop aimed to strengthen the role of women in building an aware and balanced society through the promotion of values such as tolerance, cooperation, and social responsibility, as well as fostering positive behaviors that support sustainable development and social cohesion.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop included three research presentations delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ilham Ali Bayawi, Head of the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering; Dr. Hanaa Sami Basheer, Head of the Women\u2019s Empowerment Unit at the Laser Institute for Postgraduate Studies; and Lecturer Fiyan Fawzi, Head of the Women\u2019s Empowerment Unit at the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
