Prof. Dr. Muhannad Najah Jawad<\/strong>, the Iraqi Cultural Attach\u00e9 in China.<\/p>\n<p>The visit aimed to <strong>enhance academic and research collaboration<\/strong> between the University of Baghdad and <strong>Wuhan University<\/strong>, and to <strong>activate the joint agreement<\/strong> for establishing an <strong>advanced research laboratory for energy and smart grids<\/strong>. The initiative seeks to promote <strong>knowledge exchange<\/strong>, <strong>technological innovation<\/strong> in renewable energy and power grid stability, and <strong>academic partnerships<\/strong> involving faculty and student exchanges, joint supervision, and training programs.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, the delegation held formal meetings with the <strong>School of Electrical Engineering at Wuhan University<\/strong>, led by <strong>Prof. Dr. Dong Huzhou<\/strong>, Dean of the School, and <strong>Asst. Prof. Dr. Gamjin Aizat Rashid<\/strong>, Head of International Admissions, to finalize the <strong>agreement for the joint smart grid and battery storage laboratory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This laboratory is part of a <strong>research partnership project<\/strong> established in <strong>April 2025<\/strong> between several Iraqi and Chinese universities, including the University of Baghdad and Wuhan University, aimed at addressing Iraq\u2019s energy challenges by integrating <strong>solar energy technologies<\/strong> and <strong>smart grid systems<\/strong>. The project continues the outcomes of previous meetings between the institutions and contributes to advancing <strong>energy stability technologies<\/strong>, <strong>battery storage systems<\/strong>, and <strong>innovation in the energy sector<\/strong> through knowledge sharing.<\/p>\n<p>The visit also included <strong>field tours of major energy companies<\/strong> to observe the latest technologies in electrical power generation and distribution, as well as a <strong>visit to Wuhan University\u2019s modern laboratories and smart classrooms<\/strong>.
