{"id":9159,"date":"2025-10-29T10:39:03","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9159"},"modified":"2025-10-29T10:39:03","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:39:03","slug":"computer-engineering-department-organizes-a-tree-planting-volunteer-campaign-as-part-of-the-anti-desertification-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9159","title":{"rendered":"Computer Engineering Department Organizes a Tree-Planting Volunteer Campaign as Part of the Anti-Desertification Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>As part of the College of Engineering \u2013 University of Baghdad\u2019s initiatives to improve the university environment and promote a culture of volunteerism, the <strong>Department of Computer Engineering<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit<\/strong>, organized a <strong>voluntary tree-planting campaign<\/strong> on <strong>Sunday, October 26, 2025<\/strong>, in the front garden located near the department\u2019s parking area.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative comes within the framework of efforts to <strong>combat desertification in Iraq<\/strong>, <strong>expand green spaces<\/strong> within the university, <strong>reduce environmental pollution<\/strong>, and <strong>raise students\u2019 awareness<\/strong> about the importance of preserving the environment and plant life.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign witnessed <strong>active participation from faculty members and students<\/strong>, who contributed to planting various types of trees and plants.
