{"id":9151,"date":"2025-10-29T10:06:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9151"},"modified":"2025-10-29T10:06:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T07:06:02","slug":"faculty-member-from-the-college-of-engineering-university-of-baghdad-wins-first-place-at-the-international-conference-on-sustainable-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=9151","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Member from the College of Engineering \u2013 University of Baghdad Wins First Place at the International Conference on Sustainable Energy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In a new scientific achievement added to the record of the <strong>College of Engineering \u2013 University of Baghdad<\/strong>, <strong>Prof. Dr. Abdullah Dhai\u2019a Assi<\/strong>, a faculty member in the <strong>Department of Mechanical Engineering<\/strong>, won <strong>first place<\/strong> and received the <strong>Shield for Best Research Paper<\/strong> at the <strong>3rd International Conference on the Future of Sustainable Energy (ICFSE 2025)<\/strong>, held at <strong>Al-Mustaqbal University \/ Babylon<\/strong> from <strong>October 19\u201320, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Abdullah Dhai\u2019a participated with a research paper titled <strong>\u201cCorrosion Protection of Marine Ship Hulls Using Polypoxy CR Coating under Seawater Flow\u201d<\/strong>, which focused on protecting <strong>C35 carbon steel<\/strong> used in ship hulls from corrosion caused by seawater.<\/p>\n<p>Experimental tests were conducted under <strong>artificial seawater flow conditions<\/strong> at a rate of <strong>1500 L\/h<\/strong> for multiple immersion periods, comparing <strong>coated and uncoated samples<\/strong>.
