Lecturer <strong>Mahmoud Sawadi<\/strong>, a faculty member in the <strong>Department of Electrical Engineering<\/strong> at the <strong>College of Engineering, University of Baghdad<\/strong>, has published a scientific research paper titled:<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cHigh Gain and High Efficiency Soft-Switching Quadratic Boost Converter for Renewable Energy Applications\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nin collaboration with an international research team.<\/p>\n<p>The paper was published in <strong>Scientific Reports<\/strong>, a journal under <strong>Springer Nature<\/strong>, which is ranked in the <strong>first quartile (Q1)<\/strong> in the <strong>Scopus<\/strong> database, with an <strong>Impact Factor (IF) of 3.9<\/strong> and a <strong>CiteScore of 6.9<\/strong> for the year 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The study focuses on developing a <strong>high-efficiency, high-gain quadratic boost converter<\/strong> designed for <strong>renewable energy systems<\/strong> and <strong>electric vehicle charging stations<\/strong>. The proposed design employs a <strong>coupled inductor<\/strong> to achieve a high voltage gain within a limited duty cycle range, reducing component stress and enhancing overall efficiency.
