The examination committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Anees Abdullah Kazem (Chairman), Asst. Prof. Dr. Basma Ismail Hussein (Member), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Abdulrahman Ahmed (Member). The study investigated 2D and 3D Electro-Fenton systems for methyl orange removal, achieving high MO and COD removal efficiencies, with the 3D system proving superior in efficiency and energy consumption, while ultrasound provided only slight improvements. Industrial iron waste performed comparably to commercial salts with reusability, and copper foam electrodes maintained stable performance over several cycles. The study recommended testing high-frequency ultrasound, surface treatment of iron waste to reduce leaching, minimizing copper dissolution, and evaluating different dye concentrations as well as other dyes.
